A real visit, or just a dream?

Last night, a ~ l o n g ~ dragged out dream starring my mother (who passed away 3 years ago,) my father (who passed away 6 years past,) and myself who lives yet, in the flesh and blood.

Several other living, family members floated in and out of the action.

So, am I here to report another astral visit from my parents beyond the veil?

No, I am not. I believe it is important to recognize the difference between a ‘real visit’ from the other side, and ‘just a dream.’

As I said, this dream dragged on and on. Not only did it not feel like a ‘real visit,’ it just ran on too long. You see, when ever I have a visit from a spirit/soul from beyond the veil, I am always aware that the time is short. I know they cannot remain here with me, for long. The visit is always brief.

In those ‘real visits,’ I try to not talk much and use up our time. My goal is to let them communicate anything they desire to pass on, before our visit ends.

If you are new to this, remember to write down your dreams, immediately upon waking. And if you’re wondering if it was a ‘real visit’ or ‘just a dream’ ~ ask yourself, were you aware that the time allotted was very short.

If you remember it as a dream that rambled on, without time being an issue, it was probably just a dream.

After you become accustomed to these ‘dreams’ and ‘real visits,’ and have journaled them for a while, you will find it quite easy to recognize the difference.

Sister passed away

Today, we are saddened with another loss. My husband’s little sister passed away from lung cancer.

Once again, I find myself in the position of desiring to follow my own advice and so hoping to have success. I want to reassure my husband that his sister is eternally alive, happy and well!

I have advised folks who wish to communicate with their dead loved ones (not really dead but fully alive in Christ,) to endeavor to do just that. I have offered my own method for contacting those who have passed over. Often, it works with great success. Sometimes not.

To recap my advice:

1)Practice breathing to relax. 2) Pray your intention and 3) Ask for protection of the Holy White Light. 4) Ask your spirit guide to assist you. Lastly, 5) If you asked to visit with a specific person, think about them. Talk to them.

Now this is not a guaranteed connection route and it may take a lot of practice. But I firmly believe that the more you practice this method, the more likely your success.

Now, let us talk with our loved ones who have passed on. They are Dying to Talk With Us.

Traveling in the astral plane

Ever have a crazy dream where you have super powers that you know the other people around you do not have?

You’re traveling in the astral plane!

Last night I traveled in the astral and had a dream where much of the reality I was in was altered from our reality in this dimension. With other people warning me not to jump, I leaped from a 16 foot brick wall and landed softly, leaving no more indent in the sand than a feather would have.

I had jumped with my little dog in my arms, because I was in a hurry and because I knew I would land with ease.

While in the astral, I ran in to Fr. Goudreau, who died a couple of years ago. I asked him if he knew that Mom and Dad had both passed on. He said, “Yes, I heard.”

“Well, you know what?” I said. “I heard you had died also.”

He looked at me with a half grin on his face and one raised eyebrow.

I realized, after waking, that he had been reaffirming my belief that ‘we,’ ‘our souls’ do not always die. If we follow Jesus, we live!

Another thing, about last night’s dream, worth mentioning is that I recognized Fr. Goudreau upon sight; however, I realized he was not in the same face, or body, that he used to have. Looked nothing like him. So how did I recognize him?

That was quite a journey into the astral plane with my super powers and a visit from a departed saint.

Alive in the spirit

Ah, so here is the rub ~ Some Christians (catholics ~ ie all/universal followers of Christ) do not believe in the “communion of saints,” which we profess in the Apostles’ Creed.

Roman Catholics do pray the Apostles’ Creed, some Protestants do pray the Apostles’ Creed, but not all.

Whether or not you are Roman Catholic or Orthodox or some Protestant sect, we are all part of that ‘universal followers of Christ’.

If you are of the Jewish faith or something else other than Christian…

Have you not experienced at one time or another, a dream visit from a loved one who has passed on?

Whether or not you profess a belief in the “communion of saints,” do you not believe it simply because you have experienced it?

You have experienced it! Your loved ones have visited you in a dream, after they ‘died,’ and they were not ‘dead;’ they were very much alive, in the spirit!

( St. Paul alludes to this “behold, I tell you a great mystery—not all of us here will fall asleep—some of us will be changed in the twinkling of an eye”)

Do not attempt to raise the dead. Dream visit, have a communion, with the Saints who live!

Something that has become evident to me, I feel I must share with you.

In the past, I have warned my readers against the use of mediums and ouija boards. I believe we are not to attempt to raise the dead. Not only are we told in the Bible not to do this, but it is very dangerous for you to open yourself up like this. There are some very dark and evil entities out there. Those evil spirits often invade, uninvited, through any open window.

We must not attempt to raise the dead. Rather, endeavor to dream visit, have a communion, with the Saints who live!

Please do not open yourself up to this horrifying danger with the evil ones.

Do you remember what Paul says in the Bible about being absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord?

This is what I believe happens in those dream visits with our deceased loved ones.

First, as we sleep, I believe our spirit leaves the body.

Before you sleep, if you ask the Lord, our God, to wrap you in His Holy White Light and fill you with His Holy White Light and protect you from all the evil ones ~ He will!

Ask him to allow only visits from those of His Holy White Light. Those are our saints who we commune with. They are not dead. Their spirits live!

These communion dreams will be much more vivid and valuable than other dreams.

In Joel 2:28, we read “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.”

We must not attempt to raise the dead. Rather, endeavor to dream visit, have a communion, with the Saints who live!

May our Lord pour out His Spirit on you and may you dream visit with Saints and Angels.

Do animals’ spirits live on after they die?

Yes, you believe that the spirits of we humans can live on after our bodies die. But what about animals? Do animals’ spirits live on after they die?

I don’t know if animals have a soul or not; I tend to believe they do not. But a spirit? Certainly. Does the animal’s spirit live on after their body dies?

I never thought much about this, if anything, in my younger years.

When my girls were little tykes, we adopted a kitten. We named him Sam, after Dr. Wagner. Sammy was soon my cat. He allowed the kids to share the couch with him but when the house lights faded, he tip-toed into my bedroom and leaped upon my bed.

My usual custom was to read before sleep. Sammy’s usual custom was to step onto the pages of my book, over and over again, until I gave in, put the book down and shut out my bedside lamp.

After I snuggled under the covers, Sammy walked up onto my pillow and curled his body around the top of my head. Yup, Sammy was my boy.

As we ate dinner one evening, our neighbor, John, knocked at our door.

Sammy, who never ventured out of our yard, was behind John’s garage. He had died.

We buried him under a tree, near the wood line. We thanked him for the time he had spent with us and told him how much we loved him and how much we were going to miss him.

I never considered the possibility that a dead cat might hear us, that his life might continue, out of the body. No, I did not imagine that the spirit of my cat, might live after his death.

A few years later, I became very ill with pneumonia. Close to death, I believe. The doctor in the ER insisted that I be admitted to the hospital. I, however, insisted I must go home with the girls. Whereupon, the doctor agreed to keep me for 4 hours and give me some IVs. He had me sign paperwork that I had refused admission and would not hold the hospital responsible…

I returned home. During the night, my fever raged. Lord knows I was dreadfully ill. Weak and propped up on pillows, I was barely able to move in the bed.

Amazed, I felt Sammy leap up onto the bottom of my bed. Was I crazy? My cat had died! Do animals’ spirits live beyond their death? Can animals come back and visit us?

Sammy, my cat, walked beside my body and up onto my pillows. He curled his prone body around my head. I tried to reach up and pat him, but I was just too weak.

Sometime later, I woke to realize my fever had broke. No more sweating and chills. I realized I was going to live.

Then I felt Sammy rise and walk beside my body. I reached out and patted down his sleek back as he continued his walk down to the bottom of my bed.

I heard his weight hit the hardwood floor and he was gone.

I realized Sammy had somehow known how ill I was and had come to stand guard over me. Perhaps for no other reason than for the comfort he knew I would find in his love for me.

Do animals’ spirits live beyond their death? Can their spirits visit us? I would have to say yes.

That I did not ask for his visit, or even think of Sammy, it says a lot for his awareness of what was going on with us, his living family members. Further, it speaks volumes for his devotion to me.

I love you too, Sammy! And I sure hope there really is a Rainbow Bridge.

Pastor Swope ~ another blog on talking with the dead

After my two telephone conversations with my mother and my mother-in-law, who have both passed, I decided to do a little digging.

I searched the internet for others who have had similar experiences. One blog I found particularly interesting was by Pastor Swope. I think my readers might enjoy reading his blog and his readers’ comments, too.

If you would like to give it a ‘look-see,’ here is the web address: https://theparanormalpastor.blogspot.com/2008/11/dead-ringers.html

Phones in Heaven?

It looks like my loved ones who have died (really just passed-on) have found a new way to contact me.

The telephone!

My mother-in-law, Virginia, just called me in my sleep this morning. (Call it a dream if you wish.)

I answered, “Hello?”

She answered with enthusiasm, “Geez, I got you!”

“Virginia!” I said.

She came right back with, “I haven’t talked with you in So Long! I miss you.”

“I miss you too!” I answered.

“I love you.” Her voice rushed.

“I love you, too.”

I realized I was talking with my deceased mother-in-law and just like that, the line went all fuzzy. I could hear her voice but it was all broken up by the static.

“Virginia!” I shouted into the phone.

Nothing but static.

The time is always short on these visits. But, we did experience this one more opportunity to tell each other that we loved them.

Thank you, God, thank you. Amen

Telephone call from my dead mother.

My Mom, who *died three years ago, called me on the phone last night ~ in dreamland.

I picked up the phone, in my dream, “Hello?”

“He’s gone,” I heard my mother say.

“Who is gone, Mom? Daddy?”

It was as if she didn’t even hear my question. “I saw him go,” she said. “It was beautiful! He saw the face of Jesus!”

The thing is, while Mom has been gone for three years, Daddy *died three years before her. I realized this in the dream and I was worried that my husband had died. Or someone else close to me.

At the same time, I realized there is no such thing as time on the other side, so it doesn’t matter that Dad died first; Mom could indeed have witnessed his passing.

Whoever it was, she was absolutely thrilled to have seen it. I am happy for her and grateful that she shared it with me. Love you, Mom!

*Note: While I refer to them as having died, I know my parents’ bodies did indeed die, but they ~ their spirits, their souls, live. They now live more fully than they ever did while in the body.
