Born again
Last night I dreamed that the granddaughter of a friend died. The young lady had yet to reach her twentieth birthday. I went to what I suppose was her wake.
Not in a coffin, she was laid out atop a white sheet, on something like a stretcher. She wore pink pajamas, like the footed Carters that babies wear.
People were gathered in groups whispering, embracing each other, and crying; but no one was near the body of the deceased. I went over to her and noticed she stirred. I knew she was dead but I was not surprised when she opened her eyes and looked up at me, as I caressed her brow.
“You’re the calm one,” she smiled at me. “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” I smiled back at her.
She closed her eyes and departed.
Upon waking I pondered this dream. The young lady appeared to have a normal-sized head, but much smaller body than she does in life and she was dressed in those pink Carter-like pajamas. What did that mean?
Perhaps, it signified that she was born-again?
I know that while I felt genuine love and closeness with this young lady, I did not mourn her passing. I experienced joy in my soul for her, even while feeling deep sympathy for her family and loved ones.
Happy Christmas Eve!
A thief in the night
An elderly person, close to me, has begun seeing flashes of deceased loved ones pass by him or sit next to him. I suppose these visits are his loved ones preparing him to see them when they help him cross over.
It frightens me only for my own loss.
I know he will be totally happy to be reunited with those he has on the other side of the veil.
How long will it be? How much time does he have left here? I don’t know. They will come like a thief in the night.
KIRKUS REVIEW
I am absolutely thrilled with the KIRKUS REVIEW I just received! My readers here have seen this book, WHERE SIN INCREASED, pictured here with a link to Amazon, because it deals with death and the other side, beyond the veil.
Take a look at this review, comparing me favorably with Stephen King!
Thank you so much for your interest in my writing and in my subject matter.
The way of spirits
A widowed friend recently told me about a visit she had from beyond the veil.
Her deceased husband came and stood outside her door, accompanied by two dogs. She saw him through the door window. He stood there and smiled at her, making no attempt to enter the house.
When my friend awoke, she realized her husband had been there only to reassure her that he is watching over her and assisting her in the way of spirits.
What a precious visit!
Paralyzed legs
This one has me stumped.
Last night, I had a dream of two dear deceased friends. Ruth and Gene were a married couple. They died separately several years ago.
I dreamed I was in a hardware store and discovered they were there also. Ruth was hunting out her desired products. Gene however, was seated on the floor, propped up against the wall, next to the little counter with the cash register.
His legs were stretched out straight in front of him. He looked rather like a scarecrow there. It was obvious that he had no use of his legs.
I sat with him and we talked for a couple of minutes. Ruth and I also talked for a couple of minutes and assured me they were doing okay. She did complain about something though. I do not remember what the complaint was, however.
This was not one of those visits where you know it was a ‘real visit.’
Many folks describe certain meanings behind dreams. I’m wondering if there is not something significant about Gene’s legs being paralyzed.
I have researched it a bit, only to find meaning prescribed to dreaming one’s own legs being paralyzed, but nothing about the friend’s legs being paralyzed.
If any of my readers have some insight, I would appreciate you sharing it with us.
Thank you, readers!

and then I die?
One of my most frequent nighttime visitors from beyond the veil is my beloved friend Naji. I’ve written on this blog about her before. She is the one who convinced me that “we are right beside you!”
Naji came to visit me again last night ~ or I went to visit her. Not sure which. We met in the two Waterville houses where we used to live right next door to each other.
First I was painting in my old house and she came in for a visit. Then we were in her house taking a walk through, because we knew she no longer lived there. We knew she had passed on.
“But it’s so wonderful that we keep having all these visits, Naji!” I told her this just bubbling over with happiness.
“I know but we can’t keep doing it,” she smiled at me.
“Why not?” I asked her, quite baffled by her statement.
“Just because we’re not meant to. We’re not supposed to keep on with these visits.”
Surprisingly, I didn’t feel too upset. I wanted what was ‘supposed’ to be. “Will I see you again, just once?” I asked her, ready to accept whatever answer she gave me.
“How about seven more times?” She grinned mischievously.
I don’t know if it was all a joke or serious. Nor do I know, if we only have seven visits left, over what period of time will that be? Or why? Will we simply have those seven visits and then I die (pass on) and join her in the next dimension?
The President’s wife came to visit me
My husband often engages with movie stars in his dreams. Not me. I mostly visit with loved ones who have passed on.
Last night, however, was a complete change of venue for me. Now if I was going to visit with a movie star, I would say the odds are it would be Betty Davis. You see, she is my 7th cousin, once removed, on the Sanborn side of the family. And this come from both my maternal grandmother and maternal grandfather.
But no. No Betty Davis visit. No movie star visit. But someone much higher in the echelons of society who indeed has passed on. Barbara Bush, the President’s wife, came to visit me
I did not wake up immediately after the dream. I suppose that is why I don’t remember more
Oh, I should mention, she looked much younger than she did in the later years of her life. However, her hair was white.
I am struck with Barbara’s affinity for books and hope perhaps she came to encourage me in my writing. If so, thank you

Spirit form
Last night, I dreamed of several family members who have passed on. I don’t remember many particulars of the dream.
My Dad’s double cousin, Rena Sylvain Tardiff and her husband, Bern, were in the dream. We sat on their back porch which had a lot of fancy brick-work. I knew that Bern must have built this; he was a mason.
I actually went to visit my paternal Grandmother and Grandfather, who lived next door to Rena and Bern.
As Rena, my grandmother and I sat on the back porch, I thought of Dad. I was not sure if Grammy knew yet that Dad had passed on. So I decided I best tell her. She shook her head yes as I told her and Rena said, “Oh, yes.” So I guess they already knew. (Not sure.)
But what caught me quite by surprise was, as I attempted to tell them, I began to cry convulsively. It was most difficult to get the words out. I was surprised by this. I had believed myself to be further along in the healing process than this. And I know he lives, fully in spirit.
But there it is. Perhaps we never really recover from the mourning process until we ourselves pass on and join those in spirit form.
